#FridayFeature – Meet Mac (Intern Jack!)

Happy Friday, everybody! This Friday is especially exciting because we’ve welcomed an awesome Marketing/Graphic Design intern to our crew. In the three days he’s been here, he’s adapted to our humor and added his own to the mix, played a mean game of spikeball, and he’s graciously accepted the new name we gave him – Mac. Needless to say, we are stoked to have him on board. Read on and try not to smile!

• What’s your name?

• “Jack (Mac) Machacek.”

• Where are you originally from?

• “South Fargo, born and raised.”

• What’s your current position at Office Sign Company?

• “I am the summer intern.”

• Can you tell us what all that will entail?

• “Whatever Jack tells me to do, a little bit of everything.”

• Did you attend college? If so: When did you graduate? From where? What degree did you pursue?

• “I attended the college called Life, tuition is free, and I don’t have a degree, only memories.”

• Have you worked anywhere previously? If so , where?

• “I was an intern at Apt (The Arts Partnership) and I currently work for Flannel Fizz (a local soda business). If anyone is interested, I am also a professional friend.”

• Do you have any hidden talents or random fun facts you’d like to share?

• “I was once electrocuted by a guitar amplifier, I can also juggle for about three seconds at a time.”

• What are you most looking forward to while working here?

• “Making some new friends and being downtown.”

• What’s your favorite part about this community?

• “The people here are fantastic and supportive.”

• When I’m not at OSC, you can find me…..

• “Driving around town or spending time downtown.”

• What’s your favorite meal/restaurant in Fargo??

• “My favorite meal would be an ICEE from Loaf ‘n’ Jug, chips and salsa from Spicy Pie, and a sandwich from Smiling Moose Deli.”

• What advice would you give to younger people trying to get into your profession?

• “Cut your hair and get a job.”

Based off those answers, we can tell it’ll be a good summer with Mac. His creativity is applaudable and his attitude is what every work environment needs!
