The first thing I did when I started my new job as the PR Specialist for Office Sign Company was sign up for CoSchedule. I kid you not…I was barely in my chair before I was hooking up our social accounts to what I’d call the best thing since sliced bread.
Nearly a month into the job and I’m convinced I couldn’t live without it….not the sliced bread, the calendar. CoSchedule has helped our marketing team keep our social media organized, consistent and cohesive…which is no easy task when you’re managing upwards of 12 social media accounts between three different companies.
So why the heck does a sign company need a social media calendar?! Great question….
I think we can all agree that social media is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to marketing in the digital age. So of course, being a company that was founded on the principles of e-commerce, we’d be foolish to not capitalize on the power of social media. But, like I mentioned, we have over 12 social media accounts to manage. And as much as I’d love to spend every hour of my workday on Twitter…it’s just not realistic. This is where CoSchedule comes in. With their drag and drop calendar we get a birds eye view of all our social media and can plan weeks worth of content at a time. No more excuses for not staying on top of social.
With easy scheduling, we can focus our time on other efforts that are important to us; community events, volunteering, customer connections, the list goes on. Just knowing that we can be sending out social posts without being tied to a computer 24/7 saves us all so much stress and helps us avoid wasting time. No more pulling out our phones or laptops in the middle of an event to make sure we’ve posted for the day, now we can easily schedule anything and everything with the click of the button.
Another thing we love about CoSchedule is workflow management. I can now easily communicate with my entire marketing team about what’s going on with our social media for the week and designate tasks and projects accordingly. No more wondering who is responsible for what or when certain deadlines are.
Lastly, one of my favorite features of CoSchedule is events and tasks. It gives CoSchedule the true “calendar” feel, keeps me super organized and the best part? It’s all in one place. I can schedule posts, send out content, create campaigns, write myself quick notes, set up tasks and reminders and even include important dates so I don’t forget that it’s National Coffee Day or something of the utmost importance.
So overall impression of CoSchedule? It’s a game changer people. Without it, our social would most certainly flop on a day to day basis or worse…be nonexistent. But because CoSchedule makes it all so simple and user friendly, we’ve been able to stay organized, grow our followings on social media and continually churn out content. So, without further ado, meet your new best friend; CoSchedule.
