For the Love of Signs

“Let’s take a picture in front of that sign.” I know I’m not the only one to say that. Signs are important. A picture is worth a thousand words, and signs help with that, in more ways than one!

When it comes to gift-giving, we can all agree that it can be a challenge. Depending on who you’re shopping for, it can take a lot of time, effort, and sometimes money. Take weddings, for example. Kitchen necessities, gift cards and such are always welcome, but sometimes it’s nice to give something with a little customization and thoughtfulness behind it. There’s no shame in admitting that sometimes you want to be the best gift-giver. We’ve all been guilty of it at Christmas as we try to out-gift our siblings. Right? That might just be me… anyways!

One thing I’ve noticed about gifting, especially at weddings, is how much people love signs. And I’m not just saying that because I love signs. But, a sign customized with their last name showcasing the start and establishment of their lives together is symbolic. While you’re at it, you can always gift some name badges, desk name plates, and office door signs. Or, even a nice restroom sign to go along with the lovely set of towels for the newly weds. But, maybe we’ll stick to the more practical gifts.

I love signs because they are versatile, informative, they add style and they give a place meaning. Yes, I joke about gifting name badges, desk name plates, and office door signs but, I’m willing to bet any business owner takes great pride in decorating his/her idea, which grew into a company, with some customized signage. Along with that, it makes for a great backdrop for a photo.

In short, don’t underestimate the meaning of a sign. They guide you to your destination; some mark the beginning of an incredible journey.
