Print it, Sublimate it, and Mark it with an “OSC”
The third day into our Production Appreciation Week features two departments that help the flow of Production run smoothly. With that, we present to you our Printing and Sublimation Departments! These departments may be small, but their contributions are far from minimal.
This week is all about our Production Headquarters – featuring the doers and the makers of all of our made-to-order products. It takes a dedicated team to run a well-oiled operation, and we have each of these individuals to thank for that. During the hustle of the work week, we find it imperative to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the individuals who meet the standard set for our company. Read on to learn more about the commendable gentlemen in our Printing and Sublimation departments who contribute to that standard each day!

Up the stairs in the crow’s nest of our Production Headquarters are two gentlemen who oversee the flow of orders. They are our Production Artists who layout and create art as needed! Nick (left) is our Production Printer. He sets up the files for products and disperses it to the proper department. Along with that, he prints artwork for our Sublimation team so as to directly replicate the design onto the substrate once it’s heat pressed!
If you place an order that doesn’t require a proof, that order goes right into the trustful hands of Michael (right)! Michael creates the artwork for your order based off of your specifications, and sets it up accordingly to be produced. Together, these two make a stellar team. They are the first to see your order come through the Production line, and they ensure it’s up to par before it’s sent through. The communication they carry out between both sides of the business is a huge contribution to our efficiency at Office Sign Company. We appreciate you fine gents more than you know! The Resident Funny Guy – Meet Nick!

Nick Bruggeman is in fact our Resident Funny Guy – which is not a title to be taken lightly. We can always rely on Nick to keep us afloat and entertained at work. He’s a Culture King, Movie Mafia enthusiast, and Graphic Design wizard. Nick’s dedication to our culture does not go unnoticed! He’s brought a plethora of ideas to our Culture Committee to ensure everyone is having a good time, and he’s designed our RedHawk’s t-shirts the last few years so we can rep OSC in style. We appreciate all that you bring to OSC’s table, Nick. Thank you for being a light! Fun fact: Nick’s White Elephant gift at the last company Christmas party was a pillow case with his face on it.
The Guy Everyone Wants to Befriend – Meet Michael!

Name a friendlier person, we’ll wait. Michael Aamold joined our team in May of last year, and has immensely helped with the influx of orders we’ve experienced since. Michael has helped us stay on top of our game in the Printing Department. As noted earlier, he is our Production Artist who creates the artwork for your order when a proof is not required. Michael, in his time here, has been involved in our Culture Committee and helped put on some of our company’s biggest events! These events include our Family Picnic/10 Year Anniversary celebration, our company-wide Christmas party, and more. He’s quick to check in on orders to ensure accuracy, and there’s no shortage of friendliness in the Printing Department between him and Nick. Thanks for all you do, Michael!
Sublimation Department
Once your order has passed through the Printing Department, onto the Sublimation crew it goes! Nate and Jaden run the show here. On top of a range of their day-to-day responsibilities, they stay busy fabricating our most popular product daily: namebadges. That product is a hot commodity around here, and they ensure it’s cut and pressed to perfection. In this department, they dabble in a little bit of everything! They make promotional mugs, press t-shirts, and find time to organize brackets for OSC’s March Madness. When they aren’t working on their queue, they’re helping in any department that needs an extra hand. These two epitomize teamwork, and we are lucky to have them on our team. Nate is a regular vet at OSC! Office Sign Company itself has been around for 10 years, and Nate has been around for almost 8 of those years. He contributes to our core values daily, delivers an excellent product, adds to our culture, and provides countless opportunities for our cohorts to get together outside of work through various activities! Nate is an all-around employee who betters our company simply through his presence. Fun fact about Nate: his four kids’ names all begin with “Z!” Enjoy some advice from our Star Wars lovin’ Sublimation Specialist:

Recipient of the “Wicked Flow” award for 2018, Jaden is a valued asset at our Production Facility. He’s thorough with his processes, and never fails to impress with his diligence. He has an eye for excellence as well as photography! He can also effortlessly lift a bucket of water to attempt to earn his team the winning title in a game of Water Balloon Toss. Team player at its finest, am I right? Thanks for all you do, Jaden!
