The first time I made a visit to the sublimation department, I admit…I felt a bit in over my head. The slicing of metal, the hot pressing of ink and metal plus the constant, witty banter that went back and forth was a lot faster paced than my daily typing away at a keyboard at our downtown office. But soon I realized how much fun everyone in this department had and slowly but surely, I learned to play along. One of these sublimation guys was Tyler. With a ponytail almost longer than mine and jokes for days, this department has no shortage on sass. Here it all from Tyler himself below!

Tell us a little bit more about what this entails? Cutting certain types of metal (Gold, Silver, Brass, Copper) to size, to fit into specific frames such as; restroom signs, name-tags, desk signs, ceiling signs, etc.
Where did you get your degree from? School is still in progress. Halfway done with college and looking to get a degree in marketing.
How long have you been with OSC? 5 1/2 months
Favorite thing about your job at OSC? The morale is so high and everyone comes to work with a smile on their faces.
Favorite OSC tradition, event or work perk? OSC Olympics (Get to show some athleticism.)
Favorite thing about Fargo / Moorhead? Quite a bit of live music throughout the year!
When I’m not at OSC you can find me….at local breweries and riding my motorcycle around town when weather permits.
Favorite place to travel to? Colorado (Obsessed with the rugged terrain.)
Favorite restaurant in town? Izumi Sushi.
Favorite sports team? Minnesota Wild.
What advice would you give to younger people trying to get into your profession? Look for jobs that will allow you to move up in the workplace and will allow you to be as creative as possible.
