My very first day at Office Sign Company, I had the chance to sit down with Grace for a few hours and see what a day in the life of a customer service rep looks like. And I’ve just gotta say, WOW, these folks do a lot. Between emails, phone calls, internet chats and placing orders, Grace seemed to do it all with well, grace. Not to mention she’s got such a cheery personality and is one heck of a mama. We’re pretty lucky to have this lady on our team! Hear more from Grace below!

Position at OSC: Customer Service Representative
Tell us a little bit more about what this entails? I assist customers with placing their orders, answer any questions the customers may have about our products, and am a point of contact for all customers, no matter what they may need.
Where did you go to college and what did you get your degree in? I Started in Aberdeen, SD where I began studying psychology and sociology, but when I realized that was not for me, I changed my major to Communication studies. I then transfered to MSUM and graduated with my Bachelors degree in Communication Studies!
Where did you start your career? My very first job outside of College was as the marketing represenative at Fargo Public Schools Federal Credit Union. I then became a Site Director of the YMCA School Age Program, and eventually found my way to this amazing company of Office Sign company!
How long have you been with OSC? I have been at Office Sign Company for a little over 8 months.
Favorite thing about your job at OSC? I love that every day coming into this job is different. You work with different customers, from all over the world, every day!
Favorite OSC tradition, event or work perk? I love all of the culture based events where we are able to get both locations together and enjoy some non-work related activities! I also can’t complain about the free Sandy’s Doughnuts and Boppas Bagels every Friday!
Favorite thing about Fargo / Moorhead? I love the culture of Fargo/Moorhead and that it is constantly growing! I grew up here, and never want to leave!
When I’m not at OSC you can find me….At home playing with my 1 year old son, Everett. He is always keeping me busy!
Favorite place to travel to? I love being able to go to our lake place in South Dakota! It is so relaxing being able to spend the weekends there outside in the fresh air!
Favorite restaurant in town? I love the Blackened Chicken Salad from Barbacoa in South Fargo. I also really like the food at Porter Creek Hardwood Grill!
Favorite sports team? I don’t really have one, but I do cheer for the Vikings every time they play!
What advice would you give to younger people trying to get into your profession? Nothing is impossible! Keep working hard and don’t be afraid to apply for the jobs you don’t think you will get! You never know when one will surprise you!
