If there’s one person who knows the sign industry through and through, it’s Jamey. With 24 years of experience in the industry, he’s a real asset to our team here at OSC and we feel pretty darn lucky to have this guy on our team. Hear it all from Jamey, below!
Name: Jamey Bauman
Position at OSC: Production Manager
Tell us a little bit more about what this entails? I make sure that our production facility runs smoothly with the large quantity of work and products we produce here. I also make sure that we have all the tools, people and product necessary to get the job done for the customers.

Where did you start your career? I started my career in the sign industry in 1993 for a small highway sign company in Fergus Falls called M&R sign.
How long have you been with OSC? I have been with OSC for almost 3 years.
Favorite thing about your job at OSC? Every day brings on a new challenge whether it be a new product or a new piece of equipment. I love the sign industry because it is constantly changing and growing and the possibilities are endless.
Favorite OSC tradition, event or work perk? My favorite perk is a tie between the OSC Olympics and the annual RedHawks game outing.
Favorite thing about Fargo / Moorhead? Well considering I don’t live here I don’t get out and see much of Fargo / Moorhead other than installs. However, having done that for several years I would have to say the people here are pretty amazing and with the constant growth comes a great opportunity for us to grow as well.
When I’m not at OSC you can find me….Usually at home watching movies, fishing or more recently I have picked up biking again to try to get in more exercise.
Favorite place to travel to? I have not traveled very much in my life unless you consider traveling between Minnesota and North Dakota travel then I guess I travel a lot. I do however at some point want to go to Scotland and play golf at St. Andrews.
Favorite restaurant in town? The Longhorn Steakhouse by far is my favorite place to eat in Fargo.
Favorite sports team? Even though it hurts for me to say this I am a Vikings fan.
What advice would you give to younger people trying to get into your profession? With all the new technology out there that can pretty much do anything, NEVER give up the ability or opportunity to learn as much as you can about working with your hands and getting dirty to actually manufacture something from start to finish. There is no better feeling of accomplishment or pride if you can make something from almost nothing and then have other people enjoy it as much as you did making it.
