As Office Sign Company expands, it’s getting harder and harder to truly know each and every one of the amazing people that work here. But I love working behind the scenes on these Friday Feature posts and getting to know some of the people that I don’t get to interact with on a daily basis. Megen is definitely full of surprises and it was such a pleasure hearing more about her. See it all for yourself below!

Position at OSC: Customer Service Rep / Angry Customer Diffuser/ Keeper of the Plants
Tell us a little bit more about what this entails? So many things! Basically everything that happens before the invoice is printed. Also helping customers set up custom orders and helping them find a solution to their needs. Making angry customers happy customers. Also, I always water the plants up front and have several of my own.
Where did you start your career? First, as a starving artist! I worked all over the F/M area, including being a manager at Michael’s and a operator for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at MN Relay. Then I ended up at OSC on a whim!
How long have you been with OSC? August 14, 2013. Time flies!
Favorite thing about your job at OSC? The best thing, by far, is my coworkers! Everyone has a really great sense of humor, and I love that!!! Also helping customers create custom projects they didn’t think was possible.
Favorite OSC tradition, event or work perk? The outdoor picnic was a lot of fun. I also like our PTO system. LOVE how flexible our team is as well when requesting dates off, etc.
Favorite thing about Fargo / Moorhead? Low crime rates, minimum traffic, quiet neighborhoods, and Johnson Park!! Our downtown isn’t too shabby either!
When I’m not at OSC you can find me….Outside, if it’s nice! I’ll be at Johnson Park, the lakes, camping, fishing, hiking, or just hammocking it up in the woods somewhere.
In the winter, perhaps try the Empire on occasion downtown!
Favorite place to travel to? Colorado, for certain. SO beautiful and awe-inspiring! Otherwise checking out different camping spots / lakes all summer long.
Favorite restaurant in town? Deep Blue Seafood!! and Tikka Everest House.
What advice would you give to younger people trying to get into your profession? Try to be very, very, very patient. And don’t forget to laugh!
