Five Ways to Use Signs at Your Charity Event

We’ve talked about the importance of event signage before, whether it be a marketing event, a wedding, or some other special event, there’s a lot of power in good signage. Good signage will guide your guests, customers, or event attendees from place to place with ease. And if we’re being totally honest, the success of your event can oftentimes hinge on the quality of your signage.

Lately, we’ve had taken the initiative as a company to find more opportunities to serve our community. Though we already have our hands in a lot, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to find more ways to give back, volunteer and serve this community. With that being said, we clearly know the importance of signs, but we wanted to make sure our friends working in the nonprofit sector knew, too!

So here’s our favorite ways you can use signage at your next nonprofit or charity event!

Promote your event. In the time leading up to your event, advertising is huge! Though we won’t argue that we live in a very digital age, there’s nothing like a paper flyer, a postcard, a sticker or a yard sign to invite people to your upcoming event.
Welcome your event attendees. Let ‘em know they’re in the right spot with a welcome banner displaying the name of the event and your organization. (Bonus points if you recognize your sponsors on this display!)
Display your schedule of events. Make sure your event attendees and guests know the general rundown of the day’s events. Keep them informed about what happens when with a schedule of events displayed near the welcome or check-in area. Our favorite way to display this? Floor signs.
Display your mission statement and/or company values. Let people know what it is you do and why you do it. Invite your guests into this experience and give them the opportunity to truly connect with your charity or nonprofit. A great way to display this is again, a customized floor sign.
Create a memorable gift for event volunteers, donors or attendees. Give each person a tangible take-away from the event that will remind them of this cause. Make them feel valued for whatever role they had in your event and show them just how much you appreciate them showing up or donating!
