Meet the Vinyl Gurus of OSC
On the fourth day of Production Appreciation Week, OSC presents to you, six Vinyl specialists! This department is highly valued at Office Sign Company. Some of our most custom vinyl wraps are produced and installed by this crew. They know how to operate some of our most frequently used machines, they can weed vinyl like it’s nobody’s business, they can install pretty much anything you put in front of them, and they work diligently with Account and Production Managers to ensure they stay on task, on time, and deliver an excellent product. With that, meet the dynamite crew that makes up our Vinyl Department!

OSC’s “Josh of All Trades” – Meet Josh!

You may recognize Josh Grimley. He’s pretty well known in our community because of his ability to wrap planes, trains, automobiles and anything in between. And, he’s easy to find in a crowd thanks to the dreads he’s been growing out for the past 11 years. Josh, in a word, is exceptional. Like so many members of our staff, it’s tough to brag about him in 160 characters or less given all he’s contributed to this company. Josh has been a huge factor in pushing our capabilities. He’s one of the few 3M Certified employees at OSC, and with that certification and his in-depth knowledge of vinyl, signage, and art, Josh has facilitated orders well beyond our imagination. He has wrapped helmets, foot braces, grain bins, trains, countless vehicles and buses, vending machines, brick walls, and so much more. Josh has a passion for his job that is matched by few. Just read his bio and you’ll understand. Josh, we thank you for helping to make Office Sign Company North Dakota’s #1 Sign Company. Without your knowledge and willingness to carry out expectations, we wouldn’t have been presented with some amazing opportunities throughout the years. A Sign Industry Vet – Meet Jamey!

You’re not experiencing deja vu, Jamey is just everywhere. If you’ve been keeping up with the blogs posted this week, you may recognize him from the Engraving Department’s feature! Jamey is our Production Manager, and as his title entails, he is everywhere all the time. He ensures Production runs smoothly. He sees that we have the right tools, people and products necessary to “get the job done.” See what I mean by the “doers and the makers” of the operation? Case in point: Jamey Bauman.
When it comes to our Vinyl Department, Jamey is a necessary component in the upkeep of some of our most frequently used machinery, including our Flatbed Large Format Printer. He organizes installs needed around the community, and most importantly, Jamey shows up. He shows up in his job, his expectations, he shows up for his employees, and for his customers. Jamey, we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – thank you for your wealth of knowledge and for all you do.

When Dan joined Office Sign Company almost a year and a half ago, he hit the ground running. He was eager to learn and absorb as much information as he could in order to do the job right and do it well. In his short time, he’s already become a vital member of our team. He earned OSC’s “Rising Star” Award the first quarter into his career here and independence in carrying out a variety of installs. Along with that, he’s always ready for a photo-op when we’re taking behind-the-scene photos. He’s also not afraid to knock over his boss if it means scoring a goal for his team. Thank you, Dan, for all you do for our company and our culture!

Our Vinyl Guru is a new mom to a beautiful little girl! We’ve always known and appreciated Jen’s value at Office Sign Company, but that value was reinstated when she had to leave us during her maternity leave this past year. At our company Christmas party, Jen’s award was made specific for her in light of her value: The “Always Willing to Fix Our Mistakes and Never Complain” Award. Jen’s position requires detailed communication, organization, and efficiency. She takes the files that art sets up and produces it tailored to their request. She makes banners, vinyl in a variety of colors, poster inserts, stickers, name tags, stamps, buttons and even magnets! It’s safe to say that we missed her while she was away. Now that she’s back, we’d like to express our gratitude for all that she does. Thank you, Jen, for helping to keep us afloat!

We like to think that Jeremy approaches each day at Office Sign Company with an “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” attitude. This is in part due to his plethora of Christmas sweaters worn outside the holiday season, but also because he genuinely has an awesome attitude day in and day out. Jeremy is actively involved in our Culture Committee for his second consecutive term. He’s helped organize and execute some big events at OSC, and he’s always willing to lend a helping hand and offer his ideas! Jeremy is another relatively new member to the Vinyl Department, and his eagerness to learn has already taken him so far. We love working with this friendly guy. Fun fact: he’s always on time. Thank you, Jeremy, for all that you do!

On what was supposed to be Kim’s orientation day at Office Sign Company, she rather jumped right into learning the ins and outs of our newest machine. Our latest employee familiarizing herself with our latest machine is pretty impressive. One thing we look for upon hiring a new employee is the cultural fit. Kim has proven to be an excellent match for our culture with already involving herself in a few of our internal and external events! Kim is our Large Format Print Specialist, and we sought out the need for this position after experience an influx in orders. Since adding Kim the team, we’ve been able to allocate more time towards installs with the Install Crew, keep the Flatbed printer running, maintained, and supervised, and keep the flow of Production running smoothly. Kim – we appreciate you! You came to OSC in a time of growing pains, and you’ve adjusted with great poise. Thank you!
