The most striking thing about Chelsie is definitely her laugh. It regularly echoes through the hallways of OSC and I can’t help but smile every time I hear that loud, joyful laugh. On top of her radiant personality, Chelsie is incredibly hard-working. In my short time with OSC, I can’t help but admire her drive and will to succeed….and I know I’m not the only one. This gal gets it done, every time. We’re so grateful to have her on our leadership team! Hear more from Chels below!
Name: Chelsie Heide
Position at OSC: Art Department Manager
Tell us a little bit more about what this entails? My position requires me to wear a lot of hats, but that is why I love it. I get to work very closely with my team setting goals and creating customer sign proofs. We strive to have quick turnaround times without sacrificing quality to “wow” our customers on a daily basis.
Where did you go to college? I graduated from MState with a degree in Graphic Design Technology.
Where did you start your career? I would say my career started here at OSC! I started as a Production Layout Artist before I even started school (am I dating myself a bit here?) OSC took a chance with me, which I am thankful for because it has allowed me to grow within the company.
How long have you been with OSC? I will be here 4 years on April 2nd!
Favorite thing about your job at OSC? The people! I have met some of the best people I know here at OSC. We have so much fun and so much respect for each other.
Favorite OSC tradition, event or work perk? My favorite OSC tradition is the themed potlucks. My favorite event is the annual OSC RedHawks outing and my favorite work perk is the popcorn machine!
Favorite thing about Fargo / Moorhead? I really love the sense of community you get here – especially when visiting the Red River Market and Junkyard Brewing in the summertime. Seriously, the best.
When I’m not at OSC you can find me…. At home baking or knitting (if it’s cold outside), but in the summer you’ll find me at the lake or strolling through at any flea market I can find.
Favorite place to travel to? The mountains. Red Lodge, MT has my heart, but really, any mountains will do.
Favorite restaurant in town? Taco Bros or Granite City.
Favorite sports team? Minnesota Vikings and the Twins – Unfortunately, they’re both pretty hard to love, but I still do.
What advice would you give to younger people trying to get into your profession? Be adaptable and work hard in whatever position you find yourself in. Hard work is noticed, even if it isn’t always acknowledged.
