Being able to say that we can design, produce, and install custom vinyl wraps is pretty fun exposure for our company. We love facilitating the creative ideas that our customers come to us with. When we say we’re more than a signage company, we mean it! We’re fortunate to employ a staff of creative, talented, and driven individuals who aim to push out high quality products. They make our company and our services stand out.
One guy in particular, however, is a huge reason we’re able to facilitate vinyl wraps. He comes with multiple qualifications from the top vinyl manufacturers around the world; including 3M Preferred Graphics Installer, Avery Dennison Certified Wrap Installer, and Lowen Certified Installer. He has a 3M Preferred Installer designation and dreads that go on for days – meet Josh!
Josh received his 3M and Lowen credentials in Hutchinson, Kansas in January 2015. They offer a week long training course and a two-day test. Since he already had a year of experience installing, the training was condensed down to five days. Three of those days went over what all 3M would be expecting, and two days were spent testing on each station. One must pass 10 timed install stations (wall, floor, two types of brick walls, corrugated trailer, pre-spaced lettering with rivets, commercial van, and three sections of a Chevy HHR) as well as a written test.
He received his Avery Certification in Freedom, Wisconsin in September 2015 from world renowned Justin Pate. That was an 8 hour long certification which consisted of installing multiple sections, as well as a written test covering their materials and install practices.
He’s not looking to slow down, either. Next, he’d like to receive a certification from Orafol in Indianapolis.
This past summer has been one of our busiest yet. We were given the opportunity to wrap the second Downtown Train Depot, added a bit more color to Fargo with these utility box wraps, wrapped a canoe for the first time ever, and Josh added to his list of wrapped vehicles! Needless to say, Josh’s talents and attention to detail are second to none. Having him on our team has helped us grow exponentially in our capabilities.
What exactly does “3M Preferred” mean? In short, to become a 3M Preferred Installer that person must go through a rigorous testing program that meets 3M’s standards in a variety of install applications. A 3M qualification means that person went through the testing programs necessary to become in-tune with installation skills needed for projects – big and small. If you’ve ever dealt with vinyl before, you know from experience that it’s not the easiest. It can bubble, fold, and make your job extremely difficult. Don’t be fooled – Josh just makes it look easy.
We like to show off the awesome opportunities we’re presented to wrap, and a majority of the time they’re quite large! Fret not, we wrap smaller items, too.
Moral of the story – we’d love to help bring your vinyl ideas to life. We’re qualified, quick, and friendly; and your marketing team will come back for our competitive quotes. If you’re looking for some vinyl, trust Josh and the team at Office Sign Company. That’s a wrap.
