Shining Some Light on the Top 5 FAQ’s
E-Commerce shopping (transaction made electronically on the Internet) can be difficult. As busy a society, we love the convenience of shopping from the comfort of our homes. But, frustrations arise when you don’t have a physical item to look over. We completely understand those hindrances, but we don’t want that to keep you from leaving your well-thought-out shopping cart.
This blog is dedicated to answering five of some of our popular frequently asked questions (FAQs) that you may have about our products, proofs, or processes. Of course, our website commits a well-written section to these questions, but as marketing goes, it doesn’t hurt to reach a new audience with a different platform! Not sure what that sentence means? Hint: this blog shared via Facebook. So, in reference to our helpful FAQ’s section, let’s get started!
Is there an extra charge for customization, and can I add my logo to a sign?
No additional charge here! “You get to customize and you get to customize!” One sure-fire way to give a meaningful gift is customization. Here at Office Sign, there is no additional charge for custom text, logos, colors, or fonts. This rule applies to all of our products. We love logos. But, you know what’s better than logos? Vectored logos! Stay tuned for more details on that term, it’s important here. Ultimately, we encourage you to send us your logo to add a special touch, and you can do so here!

What is a vector file?
I’m not a graphic designer, but after working here I’ve definitely gained appreciation for the quality of an image, logo, or graphic. A majority of that quality is credited to the vectored art that we are given (or produce ourselves) to work with. A vector graphic consists of artwork made of points and lines instead of pixels. This allows it to become larger and smaller without losing resolution. Vectored art won’t pixelate the image once we enlarge it. Leave those pixels to 1980’s videogames.
In short, points and lines expand, pixels pixelate. Not to worry, we will never send a file to production that we believe is of poor resolution. To send us the vectored graphic, it can most like be found in the original Adobe suite file it was created in! If you don’t have access to that, your graphic design team, or the company that outsourced your logo, should have it in their files. If that’s not the case, our team can redraw your logo and make it vector for an extra fee. If you need help determining if your graphic is up to par, our art department would be happy to check it out for you, free of charge!
Do you offer a digital proof?
Absolutely! As the trend goes, this is also free of charge. Proofs are an important part of our whole process to ensure you’re receiving exactly what you want. If you’re ordering 100+ name tags, but you’re not quite sure about the font or if your name will fit nicely, we’ll send a proof! We have a talented art department standing by each day to produce such proofs before it’s approved by the customer and sent to production.
The goal here is to have a proof sent to you within 24 hours of your request, and the art department holds their end of the bargain with that goal by maintaining an efficient work ethic.
Do you manufacture your products in house?
You bet! Everything that is offered on our website, is handmade right in Fargo. If you’re curious about how that process goes, check out this helpful diagram produced by Nick, our production printer!
- It starts with the order being placed via phone call or email.
- If it’s emailed, it trickles down to an email proof before it’s sent to our customer service reps.
- There, the customer decides if he or she would like a proof emailed to them or if they’re happy with how it will turn out.
- If it needs proofing it is sent to our art department and they have 24 hours to get your proof back to you to be approved before it can move to print!
- If it’s “Ready for Arts,” Brenda at our production headquarters gets it ready and sends it over to be printed.
- Once everything is approved, we move on to print and each order is placed in the correct department: engraving, sublimation, or vinyl! Sometimes there are multiple departments a product needs to go through, but that’s a blog for another day.
- When it’s all said and done, it’s sent over to assembly for a final check to ensure quality and shipping to be sent!
What is your return policy?
We are willing to issue a full refund if you so choose, but with any defects or problems with your order we encourage you to let us know so that we may make it right for you! As for customized products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on undamaged custom products. Stock products, such as frames and partition pins, that are not customized may be returned within 30 days. However, there is a 25% restocking fee for this action. If you’d like to cancel an order, let our service team know right away! A product that has already been sent to production cannot be cancelled, unfortunately. Click here to see our full return policy page!
There you have it! We hope this may have answered a few questions you have. As said earlier we have a full link dedicated to these kinds of questions on our website! And, we always welcome more to better serve you. Our web team is great about keeping up on our website, and they offer excellent explanations on questions and products. Along with that, look for our YouTube videos to help further explain mounting process, installation tricks, and products alone! Don’t abandon that shopping cart quite yet, you might just love what we ship to you.
