2019. We had the good fortune to celebrate our 11th year in business, made thousands of signs, did some amazing local projects and recognized our kicka** team. We look back at the year that was filled with gratitude and a lot of love for our team who gives so much. Here is our 2019 employee awards:
Employee of the Year: Scott
Our visor-wearing shipper, assembler and resident safety fanatic. When Scott first joined the team at OSC, he ensured us that he would be “just another guy here” and we quickly realized that he would be the guy here. He is one individual who can always be found in a visor, no matter the lighting, and has a sense of humor like no other. Scott has been key in achieving many company goals and contributes towards our amazing company culture! Congratulations to our Employee of the Year, Scott!
Rookie of the Year – Downtown location: Janine
Our Downtown Rookie of the Year is truly in a league of her own. Not only does she cut the checks, but she helps out around the office whenever possible and is frequently found in a variety of holiday costumes. Janine is our new accountant and has made all of our lives much easier since her arrival! She continues to amaze us all with her many talents from spreadsheets to playing the drums! Congratulations to our Downtown Rookie of the Year, Janine!
Rookie of the Year – Production: Kim
Our Production Rookie of the Year has been making a positive impact at OSC since her very first day. First days are usually filled with paperwork and orientation; however, on Kim’s first day she learned how to operate our new Direct Color Systems machine capable of printing ADA Braille compliant signage! Kim is always willing to help where needed and we are so happy to have her on the OSC team. Congratulations to our Production Rookie of the Year, Kim!
Best Boss: Ryan
Meet the man behind the signs, the one who started it all and has never looked back – our CEO, Ryan! Ryan wears many hats including boss, dad and leader! He never fails to move OSC forward in a positive direction and is open to ideas from all employees. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Ryan’s ambitions and willingness to trust us with his dream of becoming the best sign company in the world. Congratulations to OSC’s Best Boss, Ryan!
Most Engaged: Tiffany
Not only did she get engaged this year BUT she also won our Most Engaged Award! Tiffany is a Senior Account Manager here at Office Sign Company, going above and beyond her job requirements. Tiffany spearheads our wellness efforts posting different healthy recipes, coordinating our quarterly wellness activities and making sure we have healthy snack options in the break room. She can also be seen at many of our culture events from our happiest hours to playing in our volleyball league and stepping in to help whenever needed! Congratulations to our Most Engaged – Tiffany!
Servant Leader: Aly
The Servant Leader award goes to the individual who helps the overall good of the company – ensuring that their main focus is the thriving of the group as a whole. This year’s Servant Leader award goes to our Production Artist, Aly! Her main job responsibilities include designing and proofing artwork that goes into signs. However, she can often be found helping out with culture events, designing marketing graphics and stepping up wherever she can. Aly is a key part of our company culture and is always a positive presence in the office! Congratulations to this year’s Servant Leader, Aly.
Grit award: Nick
This year’s Grit award winner is known for many things from the resident funny guy to Production Printer and now OSC’s Grit recipient. Nick has worked at OSC for almost eight years now! He has a passion for all that OSC stands for and has persevered through the immense amount of growth our sign company has gone through – all while making everyone laugh! He is always growing as an individual and making sure to advance OSC as well. Congratulations to our Grit award recipient, Nick!
We leave you with one of our CEO’s favorite sayings “if you make it to the top, make sure you send the elevator back down.” The team at OSC has been so blessed to have amazing community support and employees that work tirelessly each day. We can’t wait to give back to the community, our clients and our amazing team in 2020.
Cheers to a wonderful 2020!
Signing off – until next time! (pun intended)
