I recently purchased a business scale for weighing my outgoing packages. Bought at Sam’s Club, the Royal brand ex400w Shipping Scale has not performed well. The price point was great with rich features. But now, on my second scale, after the return of the first, I cannot offer a decent review of this scale.
The first scale would bounce from different weights with the package being weighed resting firmly on the scale bed. Going from 3 pounds to 3.4 pounds to 3.3 pounds….never stopping on a final weight. So I took it back. I noticed a return sticker on another boxed scale when I went to look for a “replacement”. Choosing a box that didnt have any signs of already being returned, I swapped scales and I set up the new scale at home. Only for it to display the same quirky weight features. Morale of the story, don’t buy this scale for small packages up to 20 pounds. Maybe it excels with packages over 25 pounds but I may never find out.
