This week’s Friday Feature highlights the newest member of the Office Sign Company family: Brenda. After spending a good portion of time living and working in Portland, Oregon, Brenda has returned to North Dakota and we’re certainly glad to have her here! Still a newcomer to the culture at Office Sign Company, she’s already made a massive impact in her willingness to help departments in need, her go-getter attitude, and her immense amount of graphic design skills. We’re certainly lucky to have her on board! Here’s a little bit more about OSC’s newest member:
Name: Brenda Davis
Position at OSC: Production Layout Artist
Tell us a little bit more about what this entails?: I complete the Ready for Art files.
Where did you go to college? If you graduated, what is your degree in?: MSUM, Graphic Design & English
Where did you start your career?: An event planning and entertainment company called Talent Productions.
How long have you been with OSC?: Almost a month.
Favorite thing about your job at OSC?: I get to do artwork, listen to music, and work with great people!
Favorite OSC tradition, event, or work perk?: Bagel and Doughnut Fridays.
Favorite thing about Fargo / Moorhead?: The grid patterns of the roads and the open space. You can see where you’re going (provided it’s not during a blizzard); and it’s pretty difficult to get lost around here!!
When I’m not at OSC you can find me…: At home listening to music, watching a movie, or putting a puzzle together.
Favorite place to travel to?: I’ve never been there, but I hope to travel to Brazil (Rio De Janeiro).
Favorite restaurant in town?: Erbert & Gerberts 🙂
Favorite sports team?: KC Chiefs
What advice would you give to younger people trying to get into your profession?: Keep a positive attitude while job hunting. If you really want to be in this industry, you will get there.
